Our weekend was only an hour and half from Orange County. Felt like we took a trip up to the woods (which it was in a way). The cabin is all new, fresh, and with the best of everything. Fantastic kitchen with all, and more, than most of us have at home. Oh! the shower is terrific. Space for everyone to have their private place. Kids will love the bunk room, and adults will enjoy their separate comfy beds. Also the secret kids' rumpus room attic with TV. Highly recommend for an easy "get away".. The lake is close and fun adventure. My dogs were happy too.

I gave my wife a break and brought the kids up for the weekend. They were able to fish, hike and just run around in clean mountain air. And when those activities were too exhausting, they hid away in the secret kid's retreat to play video games and watch movies. This cabin can't be beat for its proximity to Southern California and for its comfort and luxury. I'll definitely be back and with a large group.

Great place to enjoy a family or friends getaway!! It is very close to the Grill at Antler's Inn which has outstanding lunch and dinners. On Sundays, they have a great champagne brunch. I enjoyed sitting in the living room with a blazing fire watching the big screen television and looking out of the window seeing the snow covered trees. There is so much room, there is great separation for the kids and the adults for that alone time. The kitchen is very modern, lots of cabinets to tuck stuff away and big enough to party in.

Our family had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving week at the Double D and we will be coming back again and again! The kids (ages 10-16) loved the spaciousness, secret kids' hideaway, the huge TVs and all the movie options. I loved cooking in a brand new designer kitchen with 2 dishwashers and the spa experience of the fabulous bathroom! It was really great to have your own IPOD music playing in every room of the house or just in the bathroom while you relax in the huge tub with the candles burning and snow falling outside the window! And the cabin is so large, even with our 4 children, my hubby and I felt like we had tons of alone time. Two children would be upstairs in the hideaway and two would be downstairs in the kid's room and we would have the cozy fireplace and chenille sofa to ourselves. I never wanted to leave! Thank you, Grant and Judy, for welcoming us into your beautiful home. You have thought of every single possible amenity and are extremely gracious hosts!

The Double D was a perfect escape for our family. The cabin is an ideal amount of comfort complimented by new appliances and technology (audio system even dialed into the bathroom). A short drive to Blue Jay will get you to the restaurants and a great market. Once we stocked up we never left the cabin with free NetFlix on demand by the fire. On the top floor is a hideout room with TV and bean bags which is perfect for kids to escape from the parents. Thanks again Double D!

This lodge is a perfect place to relax and getaway from the everyday routine. LOVE LOVE LOVEd the surround sound!!! Yes, it accomodates families with kids, but it's also a great romantic hideout for the couples. Quiet, private, and well-equipped... I will definitely be back!

Really close to the Restaurants and mini mart in Twin Peaks, about a five minute drive. Just a little farther from Blue Jay and Jensen's Market (check out their wine selection). The cabin is very nice. Perfect for lots of kids. They are not kidding about how many this place sleeps. A great kitchen with everything you need including two dishwashers if you really have a large group. The photos are nice but in person the cabin is even nicer. It was spotless at arrival time.

We recently stayed at the Double D lodge for a family get away. A total of six adults and six kids stayed for the weekend and everyone had a ball. The kids loved the little upstairs hideaway and we all enjoyed the spaciousness of the cabin. Double D Lodge is definitely large enough for people to spread out, but cozy enough to feel connected and enjoy some family time. The cabin was easy to get to, close to stores, snow play areas and other local amenities and we can't wait to come back!!

My family and friends just arrived home from a wonderful weekend at the Double D lodge. What a perfect cabin. This Cabin was not only the cleanest cabin I have rented it was Quality without feeling like you?re going to break anything. A special touch that the Double D lodge did was having a bottle of wine apron our arrival, perfect way to start our vacation. The location was good. We rented the Double D Lodge for two nights on Memorial Weekend. What a great place to stay. Highly recommended for couples with kids like us, or as a retreat for a couple of families. The sleeping arrangements were great, and the kids loved the "secret" kids room and collecting pine cones from the surrounding woods. We will be back in the winter for sure!

I spent hours reviewing Cabins available in this area. It's hard to choose one and hope that all turns out well. This cabin was ideal for our family of 5 getaway. We had a great time. It has PLENTY of beds...easily another 5 could have stayed here. The kitchen is upgraded. The rooms are spacious. We played board games on the family size kitchen table. We enjoyed watching several family movies which are already downloaded on Netflix by the owners. The builtin surround sound system and speakers thru-out the house made music listening easy (off buttons available in each room if you don't want to listen). Most of all, this cabin was SUPER CLEAN. We took relaxing walks around the area and had lunch at the Deli up the street. The Cabin is easy to get to. If you're wondering which one to rent and are crossing your fingers it will work out, THIS IS THE ONE! You won't be dissatisfied.

We escaped the Orange County June gloom for a weekend to the Double D. From the moment we arrived we knew the cabin had a lot of time and care invested in it. You're close to all sorts of great hiking and activities, Lake Gregory, and of course downtown Arrowhead, but we could have been happy just hanging out in the cabin all weekend... Everything is done up, top-notch. A sound system that goes throughout the whole house, sleek entertainment center, newly remodeled kitchen (we spent a lot of time cooking because we love to), comfy furniture, Tiki bar with horseshoe/bocce court adjacent--we made a killer tri-tip on the BBQ before spending an entire evening just enjoying drinks at the bar and pitchin' bocce. Yep, good times. We will definitely be back for another visit.

We had a great opportunity to stay in Double D Lodge over 4 th of July weekend! My family and friends loved the cabin! From the moment we walked in we decided that we'll definitely come back! We loved how clean and modern the house is! The house is perfect for families with kids like us! The bedroom with bulk beds and the hideaway room were their favorite places to play! My girlfriends and I loved the kitchen and our men enjoyed the outside bar ! We highly recommend Double D Lodge if you are looking for a clean, cozy, and convenient house! My family and I stayed at Double D for 4 days and enjoyed every single day of our stay. It was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Very relaxing, and comfortable. All the kids loved the "secret room" and the bunk room and had a blast. All the adults had a great time, and are in talks of staying at the Double D sometime in the future again. They cabin was very modern, beautiful, clean and comfortable, exactly what Grant & Judy have described. I would highly recommend staying at Double D!!

What a wonderful, wonderful place to spend a holiday. Our group of eight adults truly felt right at home at this lodge. There was plenty of space to sleep, cook, eat and dance for all of us. Everyone absolutely adored this home. The house is retrofitted with top of the line technology all around - from the multiple flat screen TVs to the awesome sounds system installed in each room. Beyond the home itself, Grant and Judy were absolutely awesome in getting back to us on the dozens of questions which we had before and after the trip. This home is a gem, and at this price, it is also a steal!

Staying at the Double D Lodge was great! Judy responded exceptionally fast through e-mails, which was very helpful because I had plenty of questions regarding the cabin. I was worried about the directions there because my group had gotten lost before when we rented a cabin. This location was easy to find, especially since Judy&Grant gave me helpful tips that came with the contract. My group consisted of young adults and had a blast! The pictures shown were very accurate. The kid's room was very cozy, perfect for little kids or teenagers. The bunk bedroom is perfect for a group of friends/families who enjoy long conversations and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen was perfect: all utensils were already supplied. There is enough space for many people assigned to do the cooking. We liked the long table that seats approximately 8 people. My group had more people than 8; we just used the family room table and placed it in the end of the kitchen table and used it as a seat. The family room had enough seating space for a large group to watch television together. I believe that the cabin is perfect for all ages, great for small/big families, group of friends or even a getaway for the older folks! I am really glad that I got a chance to finally stay a the Double D Lodge. Last year, I had chosen this cabin for the same purpose as this trip but my group had decided too late. I am definitely looking forward to staying again for next year!

Our group had an amazing stay at this cabin. The Double D Lodge is very comfortable for small and large groups. The amenities including in house stereo system, tvs, beds, kitchen and decor surpassed our expectations of a relaxing get away in lake arrowhead. I highly recommend this location and plan on returning in the near future. Additionally, the owners were very responsive to questions prior to and during our stay.

Where to begin!?! This was our 3rd annual trip to the Arrowhead area. We were there for 3 nights and just returned today. We travel with another family and between us, there are 4 adults, and 6 kids ranging in age from 13 down to 2. We were THOROUGHLY impressed with Double D Lodge! The owners, Judy and Grant, thought of everything to make this an awesome place to stay! A few of the things that stood out to us were the Netflix on demand, the bunk room that easily sleeps 8, the kid's "secret room", the COMFY bed linens, the abundance of bath towels, the welcome bottle of wine, and last, but definitely not least, the kitchen that is stocked with everything....ample plates, glasses (every kind of glass you can think of), cookware, bakeware, etc! Oh, and 2 DISHWASHERS which was great for our large group!! I LOVE to cook and this kitchen was a dream come true! Aside from how wonderful the cabin is, the owners were great to work with. Judy responds to emails quickly (and I sent her several with questions regarding the cabin!). They give you clear and concise check-in and out instructions (including directions with time frames which was very helpful to us since there was a LOT of snow on the ground). Upon check-in, we had a slight problem and both Judy and Grant were on the problem immediately to get it fixed and were truly apologetic. It is obvious that they truly care about their guests and about their guests having an incredible stay. Double D Lodge is the place to stay!! We are looking forward to a return trip in the summer! By the way, the pictures on the website are inaccurate....the place is even BETTER in person!!

Double D was the perfect way to start off our holiday break! Super cozy with a great kitchen. Only 20 min to Snow Valley and only 10 min to Lake Arrowhead! Boys had a blast snowboarding. Family will be staying hear again.

Thank you so much for letting us rent your cabin for the weekend! My friends and I had an amazing time staying at your place. We all enjoyed the bunk bedroom, which kept all of us very cozy and kept us together reminiscing good times together. The family room and kitchen were perfect! We used the pull out bed during the day in the family room which allowed all of us to relax laying down while watching movies. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. Having the big table helped us a lot because we enjoy eating all at once with everyone. It was efficient having the half bathroom on the main level and the main bathroom was exceptionally efficient. Since there was so many of us, we did like the fact that the main bathroom had three separate doors so others are able to come in and out without having to wait.

Loved it! Had a great time staying in this clean and fun cabin, during Memorial weekend. The cabin is perfect for kids. On the top floor there is a loft with a small door that leads into a room with a tv and beanbags, a private room for the kids. And on the ground level there is a giant checkerboard, a Bocce court, and a bar for adult entertainment. In the evenings we all helped prepare a nice dinner in fully loaded kitchen. And the clean-up was easy, with two dishwashers. We'll be back.

The Double D Lodge was perfect for our trip. We loved the large kitchen and 2 dishwashers...we love to cook and this kitchen had everything we needed. One night we walked to The Grill at the antler Inn...this restaurant is great and only a short walk or drive from the cabin. We also enjoyed playing bocce ball in the backyard and hanging out in the "Tiki Bar? in the backyard. The owners spared no details with 3 flat screen Tv's and speakers in the ceilings throughout all 3 levels that were connected to the iPod docking station for us to play our favorite music. The next time we return to Lake arrowhead, we will definitely being staying at the Double D Lodge again!
